haijewels:

I never tire of watching him. Fucking beautiful.

I met Ken Arkind back in 2005. Back when I was secretly (or not so secretly) in love with a boy named Mark. I went with Mark (and others) to see Ken perform at the Rec Center in the town where we lived. It was Kay’s birthday, and she had Ken do a piece in her honor.

I don’t remember the words from his poem. All I remember is the feeling—feeling so very much, so quickly and so intensely. I had never cried at a movie up until that point in my life, so being overwhelmed by feelings like that was a completely new experience.

I ate it up. I absolutely loved it.

At the very end, after he was finished and we had given him his ovation and Mark and I were getting up to leave, Ken looked at me and said “he’s going to break your heart one day”.
