Year in Review
I am all nostalgia-centric these days (likely from being at home and having to clean out box after box of childhood memories that moved from house to house to house with my mother over the past 4 years).
In light of a week of severe introspection, family, and time to remember who I used to be, here’s my year in review color story:
- Traveled halfway across the planet to visit my sister in Tokyo
- Watched as a 3.5 year long relationship finish falling apart in Philly and end in DC.
- Felt as if my life was completely unraveling as my first job ended right after the breakup.
- Suddenly felt a new surge of life after I went home, came back, and began an incredible new job.
- Saw the sun again and started taking two steps forward for every step back.
- Watched an inordinate amount of outdoor movies while trying to find myself.
- Went to England and was inspired to redesign.
- Felt more loved on my 23rd birthday than I had felt in almost any other period in my entire life.
- Had a hunch about something really good coming my way. (Thus far, my hunch has been spot on. I couldn’t be happier. Things keep being awesome, even though I am still holding my breath and waiting for the other shoe to drop.)
It has been quite a rollercoaster, as the first complete year post-college should be, I guess. And I am so so blessed to have so many incredible people around me and to be healthy, happy, secure, and safe. It was a year that showed me that I could handle hell and high water, and I can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for me.
Or what I have in store for it.
